EDPO (European Data Protection Office) is a fast-growing start-up that acts as GDPR representative in the EU for non-European companies.

The GDPR applies to non-European companies that offer goods or services to persons in the EU or that monitor the behaviour of persons in the EU (for example by using “cookies”). The GDPR requires that non-EU companies appoint a representative in the EU to act as a point of contact for individuals in the EU and for EU data protection authorities. EDPO is established in Brussels, the capital of the EU, and has offices in Paris, London, Madrid, Berlin and Dublin. EDPO’s team of experts creates value for non-European companies by ensuring legal certainty, providing a GDPR Article 27 compliance certificate (based on blockchain technology) and by protecting them from sanctions that can reach up to 20 million EUR or 4% of  worldwide turnover, whichever is highest.
